Homewood Board of Trustees sells surplus equipment

The village of Homewood Board of Trustees met Jan. 24 to sell surplus equipment.

5. MINUTES: Consider a motion to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting of the

Board of Trustees held on Tuesday, January 10, 2017. Minutes attached.

6. CLAIMS LIST: Consider a motion to approve the Claims List of Tuesday, January 24,

2017 in the amount of $440,058.04. Claims List attached.

7. APPOINTMENTS: Consider a motion to approve the appointments of Mary Krause

and Laura Klupchak to the Beautification Committee for terms ending 1/26/2022.

8. HEAR FROM THE AUDIENCE

9. OMNIBUS VOTE: Consider a motion to pass, approve, accept, or award the following

items “A” through “E”:

A. ORDINANCE M-2019 / SALE OF SURPLUS EQUIPMENT: Pass an ordinance providing for the sale of certain personal property owned by the Village of Homewood, Cook County, Illinois.

B. ANNUAL REPORT / SENIOR ADVISORY COMMITTEE: Accept the 2016

Annual Report for the Senior Advisory Committee.

C. RESOLUTION R-2268 / NORTHERN ILLINOIS MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC COLLABORATIVE POOL-ELECTRICITY PURCHASE: Pass a resolution authorizing the Village Manager or Finance Director to contract for the purchase of electricity.

D. RESOLUTION R-2271 / CLASS 8 PROPERTY TAX DESIGNATION / 1111 MAPLE AVENUE: Pass a resolution supporting and consenting to a Class 8 Cook County tax classification for the property located at 1111 Maple Avenue, Homewood, Cook County, Illinois, on behalf of Sherwin-Williams.

E. DOWNTOWN TOD TIF DISTRICT STUDY:

i. ORDINANCE M-2020 / FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR ESTABLISHING A TIF DISTRICT: Pass an ordinance authorizing a study of the feasibility of establishing tax increment allocation financing to improve deteriorating physical conditions and stimulate transit-oriented development within the Village of Homewood Central Business District.

ii. ORDINANCE M-2021 / ESTABLISHING AN INTERESTED PARTIES REGISTRY AND ADOPTING RULES: Pass an ordinance establishing an interested parties registry and adopting rules for such registry for the proposed downtown TOD Redevelopment Project Area in the Village of Homewood, Cook County, Illinois.

OLD/NEW BUSINESS

10. ORDINANCE M-2018 / 2131 183RD STREET / SIGN VARIANCE:

A. DISCUSSION: Discuss a request from Chris Reickerman, owner of Lassen’s Tap, for a sign variance to allow signage that exceeds the size limitations contained in the Downtown Overlay Zoning District.

B. ORDINANCE M-2018 / SIGN VARIANCE / 2131 183RD STREET / LASSEN’S TAP: Pass an ordinance granting a variation from Section 86-7(7) of the Homewood Municipal Code to allow signage at 2131 183rd Street, Homewood, Illinois exceeding the size limitations contained in the Downtown Overlay Zoning District.

11. FINANCIAL INCENTIVE REQUEST / COPPER STILL ENTERTAINMENT GROUP /

1961 RIDGE ROAD:

A. DISCUSSION: Discuss a request from Dana McDermott and Christina D’Ambrosio, of Copper Still Entertainment Group, for financial assistance for plumbing construction in the property at 1961 Ridge Road.

B. APPROVAL: Consider a motion to authorize the Village President to enter into an agreement with Dana McDermott and Christina D’Ambrosio, of Copper Still Entertainment Group, to provide financial assistance from the non-TIF Business Incentive Program in the amount of $34,998 for plumbing construction in the property at 1961 Ridge Road.
