Unpaid fines for Palos Heights-based campaign committee totaled $1,950 in January 2017

One campaign committee in Palos Heights has overdue fines amounting to a total of $1,950, records obtained by the South Cook News show.

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that Citizens for Remodeled Recreation Center was the only campaign committee in Palos Heights that was delinquent in payment for January 2017, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

The largest fine that Citizens for Remodeled Recreation Center has yet to pay was imposed on Nov. 18, 2015, for a late quarterly report. The amount of this fine alone is $1,850.
