Report: Homewood Flossmoor School District spent $18,810 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Homewood Flossmoor Community High School District 233 was up 4.1 percent from five years ago, according to the South Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $18,068 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $18,810 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 2,809 to 2,796 students over the same period.

Homewood Flossmoor's spending in 2019-20 was 29.8 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
