The Special Meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Bedford Park was held, at 2:00 p.m., in the President’s Office of the Municipal Complex and via telephone conference due to the COVID-19 pandemic per social distancing standards. President Brady led all present in the Pledge of Allegiance.
PRESENT AT THE MEETING: President Brady, Village Clerk Solis, Trustees: Rubel, Kensik, Errant (via phone), Stocks, Wesolowski, and Pallardy (via phone).
ABSENT: None.
ALSO IN ATTENDANCE: Village Attorney Larry Gryczewski.
VISITORS: None.
VISITOR’S COMMENTS: None.
AGENDA-PURPOSE OF MEETING: Discussion of fire personnel.
Motion by Kensik, second by Stocks, authorize Village Attorney Gryczewski to draft an ordinance combining the Deputy Chief and Fire Marshal position.
ROLL CALL VOTE: Ayes: Rubel, Kensik, Errant, Stocks, Wesolowski, and Pallardy Nays: None Absent: None MOTION CARRIED
Motion by Stocks, second by Wesolowski, upon completion of the amended ordinance Mark Murray will be appointed to the position of Deputy Fire Chief/Fire Marshal with a salary raise in addition to his current salary of $15,000 commencing July 18, 2022.
ROLL CALL VOTE: Ayes: Rubel, Kensik, Errant, Stocks, Wesolowski, and Pallardy Nays: None Absent: None MOTION CARRIED
Motion by Rubel, second by Stocks, approval to appoint Dan Johnson as the Fire Chief effective July 18, 2022 at the starting salary of $160,000 per the offer of employment letter and pending successful completion of the pre-employment testing.
