27 Cook County residents in their sixties tested positive for COVID-19 on July 23, according to numbers being reported by the Illinois Department of Public Health.
In total, there have been 5,136 positive cases reported in Cook County among residents in their sixties, accounting for 12 percent of all cases in the county. Through July 23, Cook County has reported a total of 42,715 confirmed cases of the coronavirus, 2,067 of which have ended with the victim’s death.
