Taxpayers contributed 69.4 percent of the $1,767,657 the Evergreen Park Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.26 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Evergreen Park contributed $1,227,063 to the fund, which saw a $38,635 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $540,593, or 30.6 percent, in 2018. Another $1 came from other unspecified sources.
