Taxpayers contributed 90.2 percent of the $364,078 the Flossmoor Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $9.16 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Flossmoor contributed $328,277 to the fund, which saw a $115,836 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $35,802, or 9.8 percent, in 2018.
