A Boating Safety Class will be held at the Bettenhausen Recreation Center on April 25 and April 26, according to an announcement on Apr. 3. The course will be led by Master Boating Safety Instructor Bill Brady.

The event is open to individuals of all experience levels, whether they have been boating for years or are new to the activity. Organizers say the class aims to promote safe practices and knowledge among boaters.

The sessions are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 26 at the recreation center located at 8125 W. 171st St.

Participants can also watch an informational video about the class as part of their preparation.

Promoting boating safety through educational events like this is intended to help reduce accidents and encourage responsible behavior on the water.
