City of Blue Island City Council will meet on March 19.

Here are the agenda provided by the council:

      As a reminder, the public comment period is not a time for dialogue. The purpose of the public comment period is for the Mayor and Aldermen of the City to receive input from their community. It is, in fact, a one-way communication to the City Council. The City’s Administration and Department Heads are available for discussions after the meeting.

      d. Res 2026-__: A Resolution of the City of Blue Island, Cook County, Illinois Authorizing The Blue Island Forestry Board’s Participation in the ComEd Green Region Program for Landscape Enhancements to Promote Climate and Pollinator Conservation.

      e. Res 2026-___: A Resolution of the City of Blue Island, Cook County, Illinois, to Authorize and Approve the City’s Application for the CY2026-2027 Joint Participation Master Contract for Rock Salt with the Illinois Central Management Services.

      f. Ord 2026-___: An Ordinance of the City of Blue Island, Cook County, Illinois, Granting a Special Use Permitting Guildhaus to Operate a Transitional Residence, Sober House Use, within the R-1 Single Family Residential District (2824 Union Street).

      g. Ord 2026-___: An Ordinance of the City of Blue Island, Cook County, Illinois, Granting a Special Use Permitting SLP Trucking Inc. to Operate a Truck Terminal Use Within the I-1 Limited Industry District (3500 W. 127th Street).
