City of Palos Hills issued the following announcement on July 21.
According to the Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES), unemployment systems across the country are seeing an increase in fraud of unemployment insurance programs during the COVID-19 pandemic. If anyone believes that unemployment fraud is being committed, please contact IDES at
1-800-814-0513 or 1-877-566-6230.
