Commissioner Sean Morrison commented on a range of topics in a series of posts made to his social media account on August 21, 2025.

In a post published at 11:52 a.m. UTC, Morrison wrote, “Decisions based on Emotional ideology, tend to result in Electoral Peter principal”. Later that day, at 3:33 p.m. UTC, he referenced another public figure with the statement, “Great message Pastor Brooks.” At 3:44 p.m. UTC, Morrison addressed the tone of political discourse by stating, “Sad she harbors such anger. Name three perceived direct policy failures and discuss those, but why personal insults.”

Morrison serves as Commissioner in Cook County, Illinois. The Peter Principle mentioned in his first post refers to the concept where individuals are promoted based on their performance in previous roles until they reach a level at which they are no longer competent.
