Commissioner Sean Morrison posted a series of tweets on February 3, 2026, addressing issues related to immigration policy and government spending.

In his first post at 16:59 UTC, Morrison wrote, “Substantive is key https://t.co/s3VcYNozF5”.

Ten minutes later, at 17:09 UTC, he commented, “Good Lord https://t.co/kIXQDTEU89”.

Later in the day at 21:09 UTC, Morrison addressed the topic of self-deportation costs for migrants. He stated, “Dignified Self deportation is up to $3,500 per person. And allows ability to re enter in the legal correct manner. It is simply unsustainable and unfair to Americas citizens to expect taxpayers to fund millions of illegal migrants. That is not controversial.”

Self-deportation programs have been discussed as an alternative approach within U.S. immigration policy debates. Such programs typically allow undocumented immigrants to leave voluntarily at their own expense or with limited government assistance and potentially reapply for legal entry later. The discussion around taxpayer funding for migrant services has become a recurring issue among policymakers and constituents.

Morrison serves as a commissioner and has used his social media platform previously to address public policy matters including fiscal responsibility and immigration reform.
