Orland Park, IL – Edward Soukup, a beloved figure known for his humility and generosity, passed away surrounded by his family. As the last surviving sibling, Edward remained steadfast until he was certain his loved ones were cared for. His life was marked by dedication, from his service in the Navy to his role as a devoted husband, uncle, great-uncle, and friend.

Edward cherished his family deeply, especially sharing a close bond with his brother George. They shared a special connection building identical homes side by side. His love and protection for his sisters were unwavering throughout their lives.

A true patriarch, Edward held the Soukup family together with his quiet strength and steady presence. His reunion with his beloved wife Alice brings comfort to those who knew him.

In his final years, Edward found solace in spending time at home with his loved ones, enjoying simple pleasures like watching westerns and sharing cherished moments with family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday at Lawn Funeral Home in Orland Park, with a Funeral Service to follow. Edward will be interred at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. For more information, please contact 708-429-3200.
