Ida JaBaay, known as Heika Deinema, passed away on May 30, 2025, at her home in St. Cloud, Florida, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Meedhuizen, Holland on June 30, 1930, Ida worked as a kitchen assistant at Holiday Inn in Kissimmee, Florida, and also as a seamstress.

Ida was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and actively participated in various charity groups, with a special dedication to Ronald McDonald House and St. Jude. She enjoyed spending time with her family, dancing, playing the accordion, and listening to Dutch music. Remembered for her kindness, wisdom, and love, Ida made a lasting impact on all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy, grandson Billy, granddaughter Natasha, great-grandchildren, and extended family members in Florida, Kansas, Illinois, Indiana, and North Carolina. Ida was preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings, and great-grandson.

Visitation and funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Smits DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home in South Holland, Illinois. Ida will be laid to rest at Cedar Park Cemetery in Calumet Park, Illinois, beside her husband William Leonard JaBaay.
