On Thursday, March 26, Ty Rodgers, a former basketball standout from Thornton Township High School, contributed to his current college team, the Illinois Fighting Illini, achieving a 65-55 victory over the Houston Cougars in the NCAA Tournament.

The Toyota Center was the site of the contest, tipping off at 9:05 p.m.

Illinois will return for its next NCAA Tournament game on Saturday, March 28, with tipoff set for 5:10 p.m. at the Toyota Center.
