Jackson State’s Trae Burton appears in NCAA Division I baseball matchup against UNC Asheville

On Saturday, Feb. 28, at 3 p.m., Trae Burton, a former Marian Catholic high school standout, played with the Jackson State Tigers as they fell 14-8 to the UNC Asheville Bulldogs in an NCAA Division I baseball contest.

Braddy Field was the venue for the teams’ first meeting of the season.

Burton pitched 5.1 innings, giving up two earned runs, walking three and striking out six.

The Tigers are set to face Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils next at Braddy Field, with the game scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 28 at 3 p.m.
