Josephine M. Sitterly, nee Zarecki, retired from the Chicago Water Department, passed away at the age of [age] on [date]. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald A Sr. and was survived by her five children: John, Michael (Tammy), Donald A. Jr. (Amy), Candice (Andrew) Gurley, and Shirley (Joseph) Herrmann.

Josephine was a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren, including Frank H. Kenny, Jr., Linsey (Tim) Porter, Brooklynn Hope (Matt Shannon), Alexander Kenny (Audrey Schuetz), Sarah (Alex Favero), Breonna (Sean Osborne), Jacob (Lindsay Morgan), Samantha, Nikki Melendez, and Tabitha (Allen Beeler). She was a loving great-grandmother to Matthew D. Shannon, Baby Shannon, Jase, Grier, Anabella, Oakley, and Charlotte Beeler.

Josephine was a cherished sister-in-law, aunt, and friend to many. She was grateful for the care provided by Kathleen (Keke) Colvin (Hernandez) and Kimberly (Benson) Hansen.

A visitation for Josephine will take place on Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Curley Funeral Home in Chicago Ridge, Illinois. Cremation will be private. For funeral information, please contact (708) 422-2700 or visit www.curleyfuneralhome.com.
