Kenneth Lee Miksis, aged 76, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., passed away on July 22, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. He leaves behind a legacy of service, having served in the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division during Vietnam and dedicating 30 years as a police officer with the Tuscaloosa Police Department’s Narcotics Division. After retirement, he continued his service with the Northport Police Department until his passing.

Miksis is survived by his son, stepchildren, grandchildren, cousins, and numerous loved ones. He was known for his kindness, work ethic, humor, and faith. A service will be held on July 25, 2025, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Tuscaloosa. In honor of Kenneth’s memory, donations may be made to Holy Spirit Catholic Church or Cancer Awareness. Kenneth Lee Miksis will be remembered for his humility, humor, and unwavering dedication to others.
