Mary J. Lattanzio, born on February 27, 1952, passed away on August 2, 2025, in the company of her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Joseph A. Lattanzio for 49 years and the devoted mother of Joseph M. and Patrick G. (Kelli) Lattanzio. Mary was a proud grandma to Henry and Frances and the cherished daughter of the late Lawrence and Jane Grogan.

She is survived by her brothers Lawrence (Dawn), Rev. William, and Michael (Sheila) Grogan, along with her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousin the Kemp family, and her cherished friend Virginia (Bob) Chilcutt.

A graduate of Queen of Martyrs Grammar School, Mother McAuley High School, and Loyola University, Mary was a CPA and former IRS Agent. After retiring, she devoted her time to family care. The family expresses gratitude for the care provided by Northwestern Hospital and Dr. Daniela E. Matei and Karen Novak, as well as other medical staff.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday from 3-8 p.m. at Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home in Orland Park, IL. The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Michael Church for Mass at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital are appreciated.
