Mildred Lave, the cherished wife of the late Richard E. Lave, a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, peacefully passed away on August 14, 2025, at the age of 87.

Born on July 16, 1938, in Chance, Kentucky, Mildred was the loving daughter of Jessie and Janie Janes. She was a caring sister to Lola and the late George Coomer, and a loving aunt to Richard and the late Donna.

Mildred and Richard raised two children, Jeff (Pam) and Jim (Rene), with whom she shared a deep bond. She was a dedicated grandmother to Ethan, Madelyn, and Colin, and brought joy to the lives of her family. Mildred’s loving legacy continued through Tami Millard (Tim) and her great-grandchildren Austin and Madisin.

A visitation to celebrate Mildred’s life will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium in Justice, Illinois. The Funeral Service will take place on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 10:30AM, followed by a Prayer Service and Time of Remembrance at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded for Mildred.

May she rest in peace, and may her memory bring solace and comfort to all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.

To honor Mildred, contributions can be made by sending flowers to the family or planting a tree in her memory.
