There were five offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live near Illinois zip code 60477, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by South Cook News.
The data shows that four men and one woman were released in Tinley Park zip code. The median age of the parolees was 28. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2019, and the oldest was a 32-year-old woman convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2019.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Michael Kroll. He was convicted of a property crime in 2012, when he was 24 years old. He is now 32.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
