11. Motion to authorize the City Attorney to draft an ordinance for the City of Palos Heights to opt out of Cook County’s Ordinance 16-4229, Establishing Earned Sick Leave for Employees in Cook County.

12. Motion to authorize the City Attorney to draft an ordinance for the City of Palos Heights to opt

out of Cook County’s Ordinance 16-5768, Creating a Minimum Wage in Cook County.

13. Motion to adopt a Resolution amending the City’s Flex125 Plan to increase the maximum allowed

contribution from $2,550 to $2,600 in accordance with IRS regulations.

14. Motion to approve payment to Gilbane in the amount $155,235.29 for construction services

Seating in the amount of $9,680.00, pending budget approval.

16. Motion to release the Letter of Credit to Brigid Capital LLC for the Palos Place Project located at

12306 S Harlem Avenue in the amount of $98,658.50.

Ad Hoc Cable TV: Chairperson Alderman Fulkerson Channel 4 Palos Heights 2016 Annual Report: During the year of 2016 Channel 4 Palos Heights had six volunteers working on television production for government meetings, community awareness information, economic development, and business promotion. This volunteer group worked a total of 940 hours within 50 weeks to originate and produce 242 on air shows. This year the Channel 4 staff was instrumental in upgrading its equipment and facilities. This was a much needed task due to the volume of shows and equipment usage. The upgrades consisted of purchasing two new cameras, new audio wireless system and new studio backdrops designed to be more efficient for setup/tear down time on daily multi-show recordings. Editing software was also upgraded to improve and incorporate 3 studio cameras for full view studio coverage. Channel 4 currently has openings for three volunteer positions to assist in studio operations and camera control. Anyone interested in volunteering with Channel 4 should email ron@palosheights.org.
