Chicago Heights Fire Department responded to 812 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the South Cook News.
The calls in Chicago Heights included 135 fires - 66 structure fires, 19 vehicle fires and 44 other fires. The fire department also responded to six calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $865,171 in fire loss - or about $6,409 per fire.
The department also received 677 false calls, including 23 malicious calls and 654 other false calls.
