The calls in Country Club Hills included 125 fires - 95 structure fires, six vehicle fires and 22 other fires. The fire department also responded to two calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $536,860 in fire loss - or about $4,295 per fire.
The department also received 276 false calls, including 12 malicious calls and 264 other false calls.
The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related death. Additionally, one fire service member was injured in non fire-related incidents.
The Country Club Hills Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 17 active employees and 13 retired or inactive employees, was $529,389 in debt as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $4,235 for every fire in 2016.
