The calls in Posen included 87 fires - 52 structure fires, 20 vehicle fires and 15 other fires.
In all, the department saw $2,800 in fire loss - or about $32 per fire.
The department also received 175 false calls, including eight malicious calls and 167 other false calls.
The Posen Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has active employee and one retired or inactive employee, was $88,440 in debt as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $1,017 for every fire in 2016.
