Analysis: Burbank pays $2.30 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Burbank Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 71.6 percent of the $1,379,902 the Burbank Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.30 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Burbank contributed $987,685 to the fund, which saw a $71,643 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $428,589, or 31.1 percent, in 2016.
