Analysis: Chicago Ridge pays $6.63 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Chicago Ridge Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 86 percent of the $783,471 the Chicago Ridge Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $6.63 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Chicago Ridge contributed $673,411 to the fund, which saw a $18,836 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $101,544, or 13 percent, in 2016. Another $8,516 came from other unspecified sources.
