Analysis: Crestwood pays $6.75 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Crestwood Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 87.1 percent of the $231,396 the Crestwood Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $6.75 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Crestwood contributed $201,573 to the fund, which saw a $41,223 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $29,822, or 12.9 percent, in 2016. Another $1 came from other unspecified sources.
