Analysis: Evergreen Park pays $1.85 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Evergreen Park Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 65 percent of the $1,597,347 the Evergreen Park Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $1.85 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Evergreen Park contributed $1,037,487 to the fund, which saw a $258,013 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $559,357, or 35 percent, in 2016. Another $503 came from other unspecified sources.
