Analysis: Flossmoor pays $2.13 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Flossmoor Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 68.3 percent of the $837,605 the Flossmoor Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.13 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Flossmoor contributed $571,732 to the fund, which saw a $113,345 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $267,982, or 32 percent, in 2016.
