Analysis: Glenwood pays $3.17 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Glenwood Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 76.2 percent of the $100,214 the Glenwood Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.17 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Glenwood contributed $76,342 to the fund, which saw a $7,987 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $24,009, or 24 percent, in 2016.
