Analysis: Glenwood pays $3.79 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Glenwood Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 78.9 percent of the $804,843 the Glenwood Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.79 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Glenwood contributed $634,894 to the fund, which saw a $74,110 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $167,505, or 20.8 percent, in 2016. Another $2,444 came from other unspecified sources.
