Analysis: Harvey pays $0.33 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Harvey Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 24.9 percent of the $441,918 the Harvey Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $0.33 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Harvey contributed $110,219 to the fund, which saw a $28,785 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $324,861, or 73.5 percent, in 2016. Another $6,838 came from other unspecified sources.
