Analysis: Lansing pays $4.75 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lansing Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.7 percent of the $3,229,491 the Lansing Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.75 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lansing contributed $2,670,076 to the fund, which saw a $56,893 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $561,720, or 17.4 percent, in 2016.
