Analysis: Lemont pays $3.36 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lemont Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 76.8 percent of the $2,043,790 the Lemont Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.36 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lemont contributed $1,570,559 to the fund, which saw a $61,734 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $466,230, or 22.8 percent, in 2016. Another $7,001 came from other unspecified sources.
