Analysis: Lemont pays $2.68 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lemont Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 73.5 percent of the $853,261 the Lemont Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.68 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lemont contributed $627,560 to the fund, which saw a $6,474 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $233,598, or 27.4 percent, in 2016.
