Analysis: Lynwood pays $1.46 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lynwood Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 59.3 percent of the $343,094 the Lynwood Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $1.46 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lynwood contributed $203,555 to the fund, which saw a $107,912 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $138,968, or 40.5 percent, in 2016. Another $571 came from other unspecified sources.
