Analysis: Oak Forest pays $4.09 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Oak Forest Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 80.6 percent of the $1,773,669 the Oak Forest Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.09 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Oak Forest contributed $1,429,805 to the fund, which saw a $3,766 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $349,092, or 19.7 percent, in 2016.
