Analysis: Oak Lawn pays $2.34 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Oak Lawn Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 69.9 percent of the $4,216,605 the Oak Lawn Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.34 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Oak Lawn contributed $2,946,377 to the fund, which saw a $686,758 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $1,255,882, or 29.8 percent, in 2016. Another $14,346 came from other unspecified sources.
