Analysis: Orland Park pays $2.38 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Orland Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 70 percent of the $4,039,250 the Orland Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.38 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Orland Park contributed $2,828,543 to the fund, which saw a $371,505 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $1,185,562, or 29.4 percent, in 2016. Another $25,145 came from other unspecified sources.
