Analysis: Orland Hills pays $1.22 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Orland Hills Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 55 percent of the $415,231 the Orland Hills Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $1.22 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Orland Hills contributed $228,579 to the fund, which saw a $159,734 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $186,652, or 45 percent, in 2016.
