Analysis: Orland Park pays $2.92 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Orland Park Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 74.5 percent of the $3,701,550 the Orland Park Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.92 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Orland Park contributed $2,757,499 to the fund, which saw a $329,737 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $943,731, or 25.5 percent, in 2016. Another $320 came from other unspecified sources.
