Analysis: Palos Heights pays $5.55 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Palos Heights Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 84.7 percent of the $1,689,084 the Palos Heights Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $5.55 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Palos Heights contributed $1,431,456 to the fund, which saw a $114,301 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $257,628, or 15.3 percent, in 2016.
