Analysis: Palos Hills pays $3.97 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Palos Hills Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 79.9 percent of the $1,285,729 the Palos Hills Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.97 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Palos Hills contributed $1,027,227 to the fund, which saw a $55,618 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $258,502, or 20.1 percent, in 2016.
