Analysis: Park Forest pays $3.67 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Park Forest Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 78.6 percent of the $1,821,827 the Park Forest Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.67 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Park Forest contributed $1,432,501 to the fund, which saw a $202,855 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $389,326, or 21.4 percent, in 2016.
