Analysis: Posen pays $1.77 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Posen Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 64 percent of the $262,312 the Posen Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $1.77 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Posen contributed $167,814 to the fund, which saw a $25,015 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $94,498, or 36 percent, in 2016.
