Analysis: Sauk Village pays $1.36 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Sauk Village Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 57 percent of the $338,656 the Sauk Village Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $1.36 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Sauk Village contributed $193,171 to the fund, which saw a $2,498 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $141,687, or 41.8 percent, in 2016. Another $3,798 came from other unspecified sources.
