Analysis: South Holland pays $2.55 for every $1 pensioners contribute to South Holland Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 72.2 percent of the $1,404,397 the South Holland Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.55 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, South Holland contributed $1,014,454 to the fund, which saw a $90,735 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $397,143, or 28.3 percent, in 2016.
