Analysis: Willow Springs pays $11.07 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Willow Springs Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 91.6 percent of the $633,959 the Willow Springs Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $11.07 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Willow Springs contributed $580,538 to the fund, which saw a $10,011 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $52,412, or 8.3 percent, in 2016. Another $1,009 came from other unspecified sources.
