Rep. Jeanne Ives (R-Wheaton) is scheduled to hold a noon press conference at Harvey City Hall today to discuss the ongoing fiscal crisis and the necessary "next-steps" to bring the state back from the brink of financial ruin.
Ives will be joined by Wirepoints.com analyst Ted Dabrowski at the press conference, which has the theme of "The Path Forward".
Harvey is one of several Illinois municipalities desperately struggling to make payments to its steadily bubbling public safety pension funds.
During her recent narrow loss to Gov. Bruce Rauner in the Republican gubernatorial primary, Ives made the issue of fiscal responsibility a major platform in her campaign.
